War is necessary and natural

War theme is one of the most arguable topics especially nowadays and it should not be understood from one side only. War can not be considered as absolutely necessary or extremely unnatural, it is common but not always righteous. War is the phenomenon peculiar to our world.

If to look back at human’s history we can say that war was the distinct display of immoral man’s nature. Nations had to fight as they did not know other methods of settling territorial problems and personal offences. In ancient world war acted as the most convenient and profitable means for achieving various goals. Furthermore even God himself used war as a method of punishment. He could slaughter the whole nation who behaved cursedly before his face. He knew that only appropriate methods of our world could help. The underside of the question is that people can not stop struggling, they do not know any limits in killing. This is the cause of unjustified bloodshed when innocent people die. We have bright examples such as the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Vietnamese and Iraqi wars.

Pacifists can say that no excuse exists for killing people, destroying cities and enormous grief, which war brings. They say that war is ugly in any aspects. It would be much easier to solve problems peacefully without weapons and excess victims. Their view point is absolutely correct.

Life without wars is the perfect life. But the speech is not about merits and demerits of war. The topic is about whether war is natural or not. Therefore there is no necessity to argue with pacifists.

Thus it is evident that war is natural because of people’s evil nature. But it is not always necessary to follow wicked habits of our forefathers. We are able to make war unnatural.
