There is still a controversy whether it is an innate gift if the child is talented or he can be taught to become a good sportsperson or musician. There are two points of view on this issue. Some people consider certain success of a person as the result of a long-term tenacious work whereas the others assert that people are bestowed with their talent from the birth.
Those who claim that people can be taught name several reasons for their arguments. Firstly, as the proverb says, there is no pain without gain. You can’t reach certain success without applying great efforts. The supporters of this idea assert that even the child with the most outstanding abilities needs to be trained professionally in this field. For example, many sportsmen have made their career only with the help of practice. They couldn’t achieve their results without a high-level training. Therefore, there is a second reason for this point of view. It states the fact that practice makes perfect. Other people, on the contrary, defend their theory with some differential grounds. To begin with, it is important to consider the fact that professional training and practice can help a person to improve his natural abilities only if he bonds his career with physical training but not with arts and scientific fields.
Whatsmore, there is an undeniable fact that talented people are bestowed with their gift from the birth. It can be proved by the enormous number of famous people from different countries. For example, Ludwig Van Beethoven was deaf from the birth but still he managed to become the greatest musician of all time. The same with blind singers –Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli.
Furthermore, some children can have prominent abilities in the childhood such as famous actors and actresses: Kirsten Danst, Dakota Fanning, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon- Levitt, Natali Portman, Leonardo di Caprio. But many other, on the contrary, can be eager to get success during all their life but still be unable to become a good scene or screen performer. As a result, the supporters of this idea maintain the fact that people should have some sort of innate flair to achieve certain success.
Generally, apart from passion and professional training, natural talents and abilities are also essential for a person who wants to become a good professional in his or her field. Therefore, everyone should develop his abilities relating to his own capabilities.
